Cachet Nail Boutique approached Studio Fusion with an opportunity to design a new nail service location at Piedmont Town Center in the high-end South Park neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. The new location was a cold, shell upfit within an existing building. Cachet wanted to work towards a new brand concept that was different from their original nail service location.
Through a collaborative design approach with the Studio Fusion team and Cachet ownership, the 5,500-sq. ft. shell space was brought to life. This new location reflects a modern and sophisticated brand concept with a palette of black and white, which is completed by gold and champagne accents. Patrons are drawn-in by a black, circular accent ceiling soffit that is perceived from the street through the clerestory windows, and they are greeted by large accent pendants within a 16ft ceiling canopy. This location boasts pedicure chairs and manicure stations , including the added amenity of guests being able to order one of their signature cocktails while sitting at one of the custom millwork nail counters with built-in ventilation.
Studio Fusion worked with V3 Lighting to help design the functional and accent lighting locations throughout the space. Our Mosaico indoor recessed lights were selected for the general lighting locations. Due to the high ceilings, there was a need to focus light onto the nail service areas so that the technicians could work more accurately. The recessed options in white or black allowed the lighting to be minimized within either the white ceilings or the black, accent soffit. Because the Mosaico features double tilting gimbal rings capable of setting into 2 depth positions, the flexibility to focus each beam of light was allowed. Both one light and two light configurations were used, allowing for complete design consistency throughout the space.
